Our Trip to the Island of Ponies

Herring gulls and laughing gulls on Chincoteague.

We saw hundreds of egrets and herons on Assateague, and I finally got to see a green heron!

Sundown over Chincoteague.

The Atlantic as seen from the North end of Assateague Island.

A small herd of ponies. We saw quite a few, but I never seemed to have my camera ready at the right moment.

A young Tri-colored Heron - much thanks to The City Birder for helping me ID it.
